LinkVault is designed with privacy as a core principle. Unlike many apps, we don't collect your data because we fundamentally believe your information belongs to you.

What Data We DON'T Collect

LinkVault does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Links you save
• Titles, descriptions, or metadata
• Categories or tags you create
• Search queries
• Usage patterns or analytics
• Device identifiers
• Location data
• Contact information
• Any personal information

Where Your Data Lives

All data you save in LinkVault is stored locally on your device using iOS's built-in secure storage (Core Data). This means:

• Your data never leaves your device
• We have no servers or cloud storage
• We can't access your data (even if we wanted to)
• Your data is protected by iOS's encryption

No Accounts Required

LinkVault doesn't require you to create an account, which means:

• No email addresses collected
• No passwords stored
• No user profiles created
• Complete anonymity

Third-Party Services

LinkVault does not use any third-party services, including:

• No analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• No advertising networks
• No crash reporting tools
• No social media integrations

Share Extension

When you use LinkVault's share extension to save links from other apps:

• The link is processed entirely on your device
• No data is sent to external servers
• Metadata extraction happens locally

iOS Permissions

LinkVault may request the following iOS permissions:

• Notifications: Only for badge counts (optional, can be disabled in iOS Settings)

That's it. No location, camera, contacts, or other invasive permissions.

Children's Privacy

LinkVault is suitable for users of all ages. Since we don't collect any data, there are no special privacy considerations for children under 13.

Data Security

Your data is secured by:

• iOS's built-in encryption when your device is locked
• App sandbox isolation (other apps can't access your data)
• No network transmission = no interception risk

Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, you automatically have:

• Complete control over your information
• No need to request data deletion (just delete the app)
• No privacy policies to opt out of
• Full ownership of your content

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how LinkVault handles data (which we don't plan to), we will update this policy and notify users through an app update.

Open Source

We believe in transparency. If you want to verify our privacy claims, the app's privacy practices can be reviewed in the app itself.
